This building was erected to be used as housing in the Esteiro neighbourhood around the year 1775. It has recently been restored to house the University of Coruña Ferrol Campus library. It has three floors and an attic which was a later addition. It has an impressive traditional construction and preserves a magnificent “patín” (gallery) on one of its lateral façades. This element consists of a corridor with a stone block parapet which is located on the façade of the house at the end of the stairway that gives access to the upper floor. The building was constructed in an interesting combination of granite blocks and pieces of gneiss and slate in its walls from which iron balustrades protrude.
