Grandal house

This was built in 1923 by Rodolfo Ucha and was intended to be both the home and business premises of its owner, as well as rental accommodation. The unusual exterior cement gallery was used to solve the problem of the narrowness of the plot of land and to give the building a local appearance. Note the large curved recesses on the ground floor.

The absence of decoration and the use of simple lines indicates an adaptation towards Neo-Eclecticism and offers us an insight into his continual desire to research and diversify.
