Ferrol has an extensive coastline which alternates steep cliffs with the calm waters of the estuary. The lighthouses of the characteristic Prioriño and Prior capes, whose construction dates back to1854 and 1853 respectively, transmit the excitement of facing the immensity of the Atlantic Ocean. The Ferrol coastline forms part of the Ártabro coastline, a protected natural area which has been declared a place of regional importance. There is no better way to enjoy the great beauty of the Ferrol estuary than by following the coastline and admiring the beautiful views from the natural viewpoints. From these viewpoints we can admire the Ártabro Gulf which aroused so much interest in the ancient Romans. Our route will combine history with natural areas.
